I'm Sofia, a character designer and illustrator based in Lisbon, Portugal. I develop work both for animation films and children’s books. Stories and characters have inhabited my imagination ever since I was a kid. I remember being in a state of awe and wonder, watching animated movies and cartoons with *sparkly* eyes, and those inspired me to

I love making art with a touch of sweetness and magic, characters and creatures that
bring joy and delight to those who see them (sometimes adding a sprinkle of animation).

I often try out traditional mediums such as watercolor and gouache, while also exploring the possibilities of digital tools, finding a balance of both worlds and letting the creative process to flow between paper and screen.
When I’m not drawing, either you can find me enjoying a stroll by the sea while listening to music or watching movies wrapped in cozy blankets with my cat.
